Just received a call from a company asking if we provided storefront replacement, board ups, door lites, the person told me he was representing a company that services insurances companies and wanted to know if we wanted to put on the preferred contractors list. I was not able to get into any specifics with him at the time and told him I would call him back at another time. This sounds like a network to me, just wondering if anybody else has gotten a call like this or if anyones knows anything about this- thanks for you help
Mary,
I got a similar call to that one not long ago. Someone claiming to belong to an organization like that, said that someone (he wouldn't tell me who) had refered me as a reputable company and that they would like to put me on their prefered list of vendors. He wouldn't give me any info either. I just told him that if he would care to give me more info I would consider it, but he suddenly had to hang up. Funny, huh?
A while back, a year or 2, Harmon was trying to get into flat, residential, and commercial glass, but it did'nt fly. Those of us doing flat glass, I don't beleive, we will let happen what has in auto glass. I'd be wary and learn as much as you can before commiting to anything or giving out much info. "WISE AS A SERPANT, HARMLESS AS A DOVE". My humble thoughts. good luck
I just called the company back and got a voice mail box I asked him to fax me information about the program, when I called the 800 number the message is
"You have just reached Glass Pagers if you have a claim..... or if you are a contractor..... sounds like a network, just curious to see what this is.. not signing up for anything!
Thanks for your feed back
