Mobile installations and tents

How many of you utilize tents during inclimate weather for your mobile installations? If you do what kind do you use and what are the pros and cons?

Re: Mobile installations and tents

back when i worked for cascade they would have us set up tents in inclement weather, but since i have been on my own i have never even thought of using one. they work some what for little cars but 70% of what we do around here is trucks. plus if the wind comes up good luck!

Re: Mobile installations and tents

Seen a tent blow up & away from car but not before struts scratched the fender.

Re: Mobile installations and tents

i heard from a guy in california once that he had a tent set up on a car when a gust of wind came up off the ocean and there went his tent skidding and twisting through the parking lot taking out 5 cars along the way.

Re: Mobile installations and tents

I don't do the whole tent thing for all of the reasons above. If the weather is that bad the customer better have a big enough garage, carport, horse barn or whatever or else they are getting rescheduled.
