If this won't get you thinking...

...you might want to check to see of you have a pulse.

It's just full of info and quotes that should be like a bucket of cold water in the glass industry's face.

Re: If this won't get you thinking...

Good read mark1, It still leaves me feeling there is only one answer, shops have to get off the drp's or in our case the networks controlling so much of our businesses. We just have to say NO to Dictated Rates Undermining Glass Shops,(DRUGS).

Re: If this won't get you thinking...

I agree in the beginning of TPA's shops were approached to be on networks to simplify billing and generate guaranteed reerrals at an acceptable price.

After about 5 years they just started to consistently grab more power and control and make themselves indespensible to the insurer who through them was finally able to conttrol pricing through a series of demands and "programs" like Metricks or just flat out refusing to pay . Most of us have had enough as even if we do or dont agree to theyre pricing most of the work is steered away from the intended shop as insureds are so wishy washy and handled easily by these TPA's what difference does it make if you are or are NOT on the networks without another bunch like lawyers and taking them to court for fair and reasonable anyhow?

The pricing and the steering have taken them far beyond what they're original purpose that was sold to us back in the day they lied to us and they will do it again till nobody can make a thin dime and no insured is safe .
