Rain Sensor Problem on a MINI

Anyone ever had a rain sensor fail after replacement of a windshield?

Was it working after replacement & then stop?
I have seen posts where if sensor pad isn't replaced or a real off brand windshield is used the wipers may not work from day 1. If they were working and then stopped I think I would look elsewhere.

Last year we installed one and had that problem. Ended up getting everything from the dealer. Problem was solved. Aftermarket glass on these are junk.

I installed a PPG windshield on one a couple of weeks ago. No problems so far.
