Follow the Money....

Just a tidbit of info from a Pamphlet that State Farm Mutual Automobile Company sent out to policyholders.

This may give a bit of insight into claims processing.

In 2004 and 2005 the Farm spent $21.5 Billion (appx) on Expenses for Paying Claims and Processing and Adminsitrative Fees. These numbers do NOT include $44 Billion of Claims dollars paid in that two year period against $64.4 Billion in premiums. However they did use the Expenses For Paying Claims and Processing and Administrative Fees to show less profit.
