Does anyone know if the DW1514 is the correct w/s for a 2001 Corvette Z06. I did this guys car about 3 years ago and I can't remember if the DW1514 was the lightweight windshield or if there was a different number
Where do you guys see light weight anything listed in NAGS, there are two options, HUD or not. We've done 20 of these cars for the Chevy dealer here and never heard of light weight anything....just curious.
My lookup system lists it as a 2001 Chevrolet Corvette 2 Door Coupe (Z06).
Since it specifically said Z06 I selected it. Let me check on this. I have no notes about it, but I remember running into this before.
NEVER TRUST NAGS. I FORGOT MY OWN RULE FOR A MINUTE.
FROM THE WEBSITE http://www.conceptcarz.com/vehicle/z1818/default.aspx
"Mass-reduction efforts on the Z06 were particularly aggressive. In addition to its unique titanium exhaust and lighter wheel/tire sets, Z06 even has a thinner windshield and rear backlight."
the Z06 windshield has 4.8mm stamped on it and is 2.65 pounds lighter then a non Z06 windshield, I just didn't feel like ordering both to see which one was the light weight one.
