Re: HEARSE GLASS

The Cadillacs in the 80's used a DW 881 the buicks may be the same.

Re: HEARSE GLASS

You have a big problem !

Most Eureka's used a custom windshield made by Guardian. When Eureka went out of business a few years ago, Accubilt bought many of their assets, but apparently, not the windshield molds.

Guardian probably still has the molds, but no-one seems to be able to get the windshields made..

If you find an answer, please let me know.

Re: HEARSE GLASS

ira, you are the guru of obsolete and hard to get glass, i can't belive you have problems finding anything.

in all the years i have had you find me stuff, only once have you not been able to find what i needed.

i am shocked you are almost human.

Re: HEARSE GLASS

If you have a windshield we can make you a glass. Its not cheap but it can be done. $2,000.00 for the tooling $1,200.00 for the glass + shipping charges.
If your interested let me know. We do this for the TV/Movie industry on one-of glasses in clear so they can film actors in the vehicles. We can also make them in tint/shaded.

Re: Re: HEARSE GLASS

Ira, wasnt this the modified W906 seems like abot 4 or 6 inches longer.Ill try to look in files but had same problem about 4 years ago.Called a funeral home localy and he gave me several manu.Turned out others used this same w/s.Will try to answer tomorrow night.

Re: HEARSE GLASS

Ralph,

I'm almost blushing ! It's tough to live up to your opinion of me, but thanks a lot..

The Eureke windshield was always an expensive one, costing about $1500.00 when they were available.

Lee's solution is probably the only viable alternative since my source of used Hearse glasses seems to have disappeared.

Re: HEARSE GLASS
