rain sensor

what are you using to reglue rain sensors to w/s? I have used the red strip kits, but is there a easier/better product??

Re: rain sensor

For many of the models, we have been able to heat the glass from the outside and remove them without any damage or problems with reinstallation. The round VW sensors (2 part with a ring on the outside like a target) have not been so friendly. We just order replacements from CR Laurence and put a new one on. The small cost of them is less expensive than the upset customer when it either doesn't work right or it looks like crap with bubbles appearing on the outside of the glass.
Frankly, the cost is nothing compared to the extra 10 to 15 minutes we end up screwing with it when we are really busy.
P.S. PPG can get these for you but be forewarned. We have ordered these from them and when they didn't have them in stock, the part would be $5.00 or less and they (tried) to charge us $15.00 shipping every time!!
