i saw a newspaper ad for a bodyshop today that said they were ASE certified for auto glass. i hadn't heard of that, just NGA. has anyone else seen this?
I checked a couple of years ago, when I saw a similar ad, and asked pointed questions to ASE.
There was no glass certification of any kind in their programs. ASE is predominately mechanical.
If that has changed, I would like to know, but scanning their website a moment ago, I find no mention of glass anywhere, and specifically went to the following section:
THE OFFICIAL ASE CATALOG OF TESTS
Collision Repair and Refinish Tests.
Surf around in there yourselves, and please post it if anyone finds something I missed.
I know that auto glass specialists used that when they were still partnered with p.a.g{performance acheivment group}training firm. They would put the ase cert on all of the passed tech certificates.
