Allstate's New Script

We have run into a new script from Allstate this week.

As a non-O&A shop, we have in the past had our sales reps tell the Lynx agent that they cannot agree to pricing and we were able to get a claim number.

Now, what Lynx does, is if you tell them you cannot agree to pricing they refuse to give you a claim number.

But, if you tell them you DENY their pricing, they go into a new script which starts like this:

"The shop you have selected is unwilling to accept fair market pricing for the work to be performed...." and the customer may have to pay extra yadda yadda yadda and would the customer like Lynx to offer some other shops to do the work which will accept the Allstate pricing?

If you still have a customer after going through the script, you will get a claim number.

This makes us look very bad, like we are trying to cheat the customer or the insurance company. In reality, it is the insurance company that is unwilling to pay a fair price, as we all know.

We are looking for a way to handle this. If you try to set the claim after the work is done, they won't give you a claim number at all unless you agree to pricing.

Lynx Stynx.

Any suggestions on how to handle this going forward?

Call Doug Smith and complain, he is in charge of glass for the entire country. I spoke to him the other day and he mentioned that he very rarely gets calls from glass shops. I would suspect no one knows how to reach him so here is is contact info:

TM: That is the kind of response and information this forum should be all about, something we can all use to help getting paid. Thank you. Re: Allstate's New Script

I thought it was the networks telling us what we can charge the insurance companies not the insurance companies telling us! Isn't it a known fact that the insurance companies pay the networks a higher amount than we collect?

Re: Allstate's New Script

Yes, this is what we have been told. The networks bill the insurance higher prices, than we submit. We do the physical hard labor work...they sit at a desk! ~Western Wishes~

Re: Allstate's New Script

Yeh, very old, I was wondering why it was talking about Lynx and Allstate? Allstate is not with Lynx any longer. Carry on, enjoy the sunny weekend and all you blanklite slaves get back to work earning your rich bosses more money on your time-dime.

Glassgod, you seem to have some deep resentment for Henry for it to still be festering now so many years after. You need to get on with your life, old boy.
