rage goes retro 2 - Full Details

And .... Here is the line up for 'rage goes retro' 2. Only 2 Countdowns. Each Countdown episode hasn't been played on rage before, the 1981 requested Episode is mine. Besides Countdown is a Rock Arena which I previously listed with some Beat Box and extra bits thrown in. Not a bad line up but a bit underwhelming ....

I have the 1981 and the 1983 on Timer Code, so no new Countdown's for me. I did however request the 1981 Episode as I wanted a clean copy of The Nolans in the Countdown studio and the Shock video ...

Re: rage goes retro 2 - Full Details

Given the Saturday morning retro hour and a half preview from 9 a.m. features a couple of Divinyls clips, I am thinking that the Beatbox episode is probably the one from which the 1986 interview shown in the Chrissy Amphlett tribute in 2013 is from.

Re: rage goes retro 2 - Full Details

The beatbox episode aired on the day Chernobyl blew up. Just not so fun fact.

Re: rage goes retro 2 - Full Details

Nice to have 1986 represented with Beatbox and Rock Arena looks good except for the Kinks clips

Would be great to also see some 60's and 70's shows

Ughhh, The Kinks ruin the Rock Arena for me played tonight.

Re: rage goes retro 2 - Full Details

Really enjoyed the Beatbox episode- loved the street & club interviews and the couple of Bowie videos

Thought it was funny how Molly talked about radio not playing the new X-Men single and then a few minutes later we found out why

I LOVED the Beatbox episode, the Joe Camilleri clip was so RARE and having Wa Wa Nee Gone played again was FABULOUS! Enjoyed Spy vs Spy as well.

I am not an Uncanny X-Men fan but the track they performed on the 1983 episode was one of their better ones for me.
