COUNTDOWN IS BACK THIS JANUARY, 2019 ... ON rage !!!!! Stay tuned below with regular Countdown full archival information for each Countdown episode rage shall be airing every Saturday throughout January ...
Rage mentioned on Facebook there will be more Countdown after the Meatloaf tribute.
The first night of Retro is normally the best, just a pity that a tribute has popped up in it but I'm happy to get the 1985 Countdown. I'm a bit more concerned by what will air by the third week.
Going by their promo image they also show Suzanne Dowling and Andrew Peters, so there may well be some Rock Arena's (unless there is false advertising) but disturbingly they also had a picture of Dylan Lewis which means some recordings will be deleted immediately.
It's great rage are using Retro Month for paying tribute to Meat Loaf. What's wrong with Recovery and Dylan Lewis? I'm hoping Dylan wins the jungle program.
The 1985 Countdown episode looks fine and it is unrepeated so GREAT * Pleased about that ... BUT ... Not pleased that the Meatloaf videos have to be on the first 'rage goes retro'! Are rage purposely trying to cut back on Countdown and Rock Arena episodes?!
Why isn't the Meat Loaf videos on the Friday night??? It is disappointment after disappointment again and again the more the years go by.
I did read rage say that there will be more Countdown episodes after Meatloaf, so at least that is a good sign.
Meatloaf died last week, why haven't rage done their tribute by now?

I unfortunately just saw rage's promo with Dylan Lewis at No.1 on their promo then Andrew Peters, Suzanne Dowling and them Molly last ... BUT ... They did include COUNTDOWN in text which is a relief.
The reason January with 5 Saturday's was IDEAL was that it would have meant one of the weekends would have been Recovery, still leaving us with 4 Weekends of Countdown and Rock Arena.
I have a feeling week 3 will be just Recovery, how very upsetting!
Meat Loaf had many great classics and some of his music videos were amazing especially I'd Do Anything For Love. I'm looking forward to next Saturday.
It makes sense Recovery getting included with Dylan being on the jungle program.
The point is, rage always have played tributes on Friday nights. I never said rage shouldn't play Meat Loaf's videos as a tribute but not as part as 'rage goes retro' as it eats time into Countdown and Rock Arena which we wait 11 months a year for!
EVERY episode of Recovery needs to be urinated on and then set on fire!
I happen to really miss Recovery and am enjoying seeing it's main host Dylan on the jungle show. He deserves to get crowned King. The 90s was my favourite decade for music.

There is only ONE KING and that is Ian Molly Meldrum.
This is after all a Countdown Website and Forum and certainly not a RECOVERY one!
This episode has been unaired on Rage since it was originally screened. It will screen during week 1 of Retro Month (Sat Feb 5th). Original episode date is 26th May 1985.

I'd do anything for love, But I won't watch that.......
Rage played Meatloafs videos when Jim Steinman passed a while back. There weren't many. It wouldn't be uncommon for rage to play some clips from a Countdown host anyway. Two birds one stone.
And what's cool is that I have most of the unplayed episodes on first-gen time code and this is one that I don't have. Looking forward to this, not that the Loaf was releasing anything worthy at that stage, but because 1985 was a cracker year!!

The 1985 countdown should be amazing one of my favorite years.
