rage goes retro 5

As another Retro Month comes to a close, you'll see we have definitely saved the best till last. We're going so retro you'll think there's been a rip in the space-time continuum. We've got a Countdown episode hosted by Hollywood heart-throb of yesteryear Christopher Atkins. We've got Shakin' Stevens hosting. We've got Wa Wa Nee for crying out loud.

Get your last fill of the outrageous hairstyles, sets and outfits as we are continue playing great performances...

Okay, Christopher Atkins hosted Countdown for rage goes retro 5... It is either 13/ 09/1981 OR 08/08/1982 .... The 8th August episode was played on 02/01/1999 so I am HOPING it is not that repeat ... PLEASE let it be 13/08/1981, sigh xxxx
I already have Shakin' Stevens on timercode, so yeah.... And Wa Wa Nee would be either 1986 or 1987 ... PLEASE, let it be 1986!

OKAY, I am now SURE that the Christopher Atkins episode is NOT the 1982 repeated episode but the 1981 episode as rage mention performances from Marcia Hines and she is on that epoisode! YES, I am too clever, sometimes!

Re: rage goes retro 5

Hope it has a studio audience.

Re: rage goes retro 5

I seriously HOPE the Wa Wa Nee episode is NOT the 1987 hosted episode as rage played that already and we DON'T want it AGAIN!

I hope it's the 1986 episode when Wa Wa Nee did Sugar Free in the studio, which I taped at the time xxx

Re: rage goes retro 5

I hope they show One and One as an individual music video. I wouldn't mind a crisp digital copy.

Re: rage goes retro 5

YES Lee!

I ahve been asking rage for One And One video for tooo long! As have you :-)

I also want Gone in the studio for Beat Box ... BOTH would be HEAVEN SCENT!

Re: rage goes retro 5

If Wa Wa Nee are the main mention then it would be from when they hosted you would imagine - and they only did that once - episode 512 June 8 1986

The Wa Wa Nee clip on that episode is Stimulation which is the most common of their clips. Hopefully they do have some rarer clips to show as well.

I've got the clip for One And One taped off Sounds but the start and ends were cut off. Also have them performing that live on Hey Hey. Would be great if they could find that clip as it is a great clip as well as song.

If they were to play Stimulation it would be great if they found the US release video for a point of difference.

Another rare clip would be Can't Control Myself where I only have a live performance from Saturday Morning Live on Channel 7, the show that Jono and Dano hosted.

Re: rage goes retro 5

Thanks Guru for the info on 1986 episode of Wa Wa Nee hosting. My brain went straight to the 1987 episode when they did One And One and Molly interviewed them in the studio ...

Re: rage goes retro 5

Looking forward to the 1981 episode - "Shaky" hosting should be interesting. I read somewhere that he was interviewed very rarely.

Re: rage goes retro 5

The Shakin' Stevens episode is one of the best.
