Was this from the episode that Rage kept telling us its tape was damaged?

Very happy to see a 1977 repeat has been dropped to make way for a 1987 episode that hasn't been seen before. As they have twice promised the 1977 episode I expect it will appear some time in the next 2 weeks

4 Rage debut Countdown episodes plus Suzanne Dowling Rock Arena. They may not particularly be episodes I would have had at the top of my wants list but now, in the first 2 weeks of this Retro season, we have gotten 10 of the 174 episodes that had not previously been shown on Rage and I think that is a big win either way.

Fantastic that they have been able to show some of the Adelaide Festival episode. From what I knew of this, the picture is good but the sound keeps dropping out. I assume they have been able to fix the audio issues.

One assumes that 1977 episode will be shown next week in the Elton John special as this episode features an interview with Elton, but we shall see.

I'm hoping something big will happen Countdown wise at the end of this year due to the 40th anniversary - would be amazing if a lost show or two turned up as well.......

yes I am, would be great just seeing a bit of that episode. I did request awhile ago that Rage at least show the sections that are still able to be shown which they seem to be now doing - good to see.

I honestly wouldn't mind seeing the whole episode even with the faults - it's still an interesting piece of history.

Perhaps Rage could be able to fix the sound issues in time for the 40th anniversary later this year.....?

I want to see this episode as well from Adelaide, 1978!!!
