Next Week 30 yrs since Karen Carpenter died

On Feb 4th it will be 30yrs sincer Karen Died. My fav song of their is Calling Occupants Of Interplanetary Craft.

Has Anyone Heard Her Solo Album That Was Released in 1996.

Love Calling Occupants Of Interplanetary Craft & it's so unlike anything else in their catalogue. Of course it was a cover of a Klaatu song - the last band you'd expect The Carpenters to cover.

It was the year of 'Close Encounters Of The third kind', so that's probably why they covered 'Calling Occupants'. There was a big mystery about the Klaatu album, as people thought it was the Beatles. Richard Carpenter did have an ear for a good song.
