passing of a 70's singer

did anyone singer anita ward of ring my bell fame passed away recently on april 11th.

According to wikipedia she's still alive ;)

There's no mention of it on the dead rock stars club website either.

thanks for the info. my local radio station announcer said that she recently passed away. then played ring my bell after announcing it.that is where i heard it from.

^ He probably got her confused with Loleatta Holloway (the real voice behind Black Box's 'Ride On Time').

I can only find that Loleatta Holloway passed away in March 2011. Anita Ward seems to be still alive.
