My axle bearing has a 1in hole and is 3.48in outer dia. 1in thick . It is a Gilliam {0415 T} Does anyone have the modern bearing number for this bearing in a reference book.

Have been looking at bearings for my Flint 80. My understanding is that Gilliam was bought by Timken. The front wheel inner is 3779 cone and 3220 race. The outer is 2678 cone and 2620 race. Timken has those numbers and the dimensions line up with the old Gilliam bearings. Some old literature I have list the rear wheel bearings as 415 T cone and 414 race. Timken has these numbers also but lists the bore on the 415 as 1.5 inches not a l inch. The 414 race is listed as 3.4843 inch diameter, which sounds right. I looked at the rear axle on my 80 and it is tapered and is larger than 1 inch where the bearing goes. Hopefully this helps.
