1931 Durant 412 Tourister for sale. Appears to be mostly complete but totally disassembled. Wood is in rough shape and some is missing. Metal panels are in good condition with only surface rust. It was disassembled in the 70s by a previous owner and has been stored inside.

I wished we did not live so far apart (opposite ends of the country). I would definitely be interested. I have a 1931 612 Tourister in restoration. I also have 3 unrestored 1930 407's.

I hope you are able to find a good home for that 412 as there were few made. Can you tell me where it was produced, which is on the ID plate on the passenger floor toe board?

I do not find your name in our club roster. Could you give me some information on your 412? On the DMAC website there is a new "fill-in" data Registry form that you could send to me on line.

I am not a member. My Dad picked it up when I was a kid in the Orlando/Winter Park area of Florida.
I'll have to look and see where it was produced. Somebody had completely disassembled it and that was all they did. The wood is pretty much gone and the seat upholstery has disintegrated.
It is currently located near Bell, Fl 32619.

Dave the heading seems incorrect as 412 no such model, he means 612 made from Oct 7 1930 to Aug 1931 exclusive to Lansing.
US had the 406 Rugby truck and 407 Durant that became the 610 Sept 23 1930 but Canada continued the 407 to 1932. The next 4 was 416 made 1931 in Leaside only replacing the 406.

Bob's right it is rare with few remaining, but number made ? L-1001 to L-2700 Oct 7 1930 to Dec 31 1930 and L-2701 Jan 1 1931 to factory closing Aug 1931. We have vins above 10000 in both Registry's, as you can see in durantcars Registry. Other Registry I'm counting 5 1930's and 17 1931's. Of the 17 three are Tourist Sedan and two are Coupes.

And here I was hoping an unknown model had come out of the woodwork ha ha. Working on the Registry in Ont, I kept seeing 416 in the Leaside aftermarkets with a W8A engine but no where in DMAC was a notation of such a model. Not in vin books but little is in those for trucks and sure no mention of Canadian models which is why US folks think Durant made to 1931. Nope Leaside name changed to Dominion Motors shortly after the plant became totally Canadian owned and operated Jan 14 1931 to make whatever it wanted. They chose to continue the Durant into 32 and Rugby to end of 33.

Wasn't until a DMAC member got two parts books off eBay of Dominion Motors 1933 and one book listed the models on a page, and there was the 416 1931. None surviving we know of.

Its like the 633 Durant only mentioned in the Leaside aftermarkets but .. two exist a Coupe and a Sedan. Promo or production ?? 7, 11, 13 possibly made. This model is not listed on those parts books.
