1923 Star Touring Items needed for Museum Donation car
Hello Durantonians!
As some of you are aware and others may not be, long time member Ed Vomero graciously donated one of his 1923 Star touring cars (he had 3) to the Durant Motors Automobile Museum Foundation in honor of his son who passed away. The Gilmore car museum in Four Corners, Michigan has offered to store the vehicle on display for the Museum in their galleries until we have our own museum built. In order to do this we need to obtain some small items to prepare the car for historical accurate display at their museum. The below items are needed at this time to complete the restoration. If anyone out there has any of these and is willing to donate them to the museum, then please contact Treasurer Bill DeVries and let him know what you have. His email address is: Treasurer@durantfoundation.org
Star Headlight Buckets, reflectors and Smith style lenses
Original radiator emblem (White star with blue of black background round)
Original Horn for a 1923 Star.
While your on Stay at Home orders, go out in the garage and see what you have laying in boxes out there for the Museum! Thanks!
Mike

The museum is actually located in Hickory Corners, MI. Please use this email address: wjdv6948@juno.com
The headlights that are currently on the car are Ford buckets and lens'. We are trying to get the car ready to go to Gilmore car museum.
