I'm in need of a replacement fuel sending unit for my 1931 Durant model 619.
The unit I pulled from the gas tank yesterday is completely shot, I can't even pull a OHM reading from it and the gears no longer work.
Anyone out there have an extra unit or parts?
My other option is to match a modern replacement, for that I'll need the OHM range of a Durant unit.
Anyone know the OHM range?
There you go again and forget us folks north of the border with Durant's past 1931 Too bad I didn't keep the info on the 32's. I got an adjustable one from Horton's http://horton.on.ca/index.htm Sept 27 2010
Bill says part number SN38 .. Tank Sender 90 OHM 6-24 in adjustable CLA $51.00.
Have to be careful which way the thing turns when float rides up and down to get correct sending unit. 0 - 90 or 90 - 0. Pulled the top off the old one to check which is was. (no I don't remember sigh)

Can't attach pic but that is the standard 1931 / 32 dash gauges and surround. I borrowed a tester on my old one to find out the ohmage.
Aftermarkets have Gas gauge for tank ... E, 407, 611, 612, 614, 618, 619, 670
If my memory is right there was a Forum item about the units like ours where the two gears are blue and a blob that crumble if played with. Some Co can fix the unit but who or where ? was on that Forum.
