Re: looking for suitable home for this engine as I'm moving.
Yup, OK, now I see the Star flywheel and clutch laying on the floor just past the block in the first pic.
That's too far off my beaten path, otherwise I would pick them all up!
Anybody in the area traveling to Texas??
Re: looking for suitable home for this engine as I'm moving.
If you click on the first pic it enlarges, then save to your pc. Open with paint and enlarge pic, and it says W4A. So Star C or first of F's. Engine serial might pin year down more.
That a magneto in 2nd pic that some Stars had, as we discussed on Forum not long ago ?

Re: looking for suitable home for this engine as I'm moving.
I see gentlemen are finding the pictures I shared a drop box link to. That's great and I can email them directly to whomever contacts me. I can send a serial number to the engine if anyone is strongly interested in identifying it. Again, I'm moving too far across the country to warrant dragging this project along.
Eric Granrud. Start Engine is near Chicago, IL. Don't know value but wouldn't turn down a couple bucks. Contact me via email at granrude@hotmail.com or 630-397-3673 if anyone knows of an interested party to receive this engine. thank you
