Does anyone know what material was used between the hood and firewall and how it was secured? Mine overlaps about 1 3/4 inches and there doesn't seem to be any evidence of rivets. I'm thinking of using 2" fender welt. Also, I'm assuming that the front hood-to-radiator shell is 5/8" double bead lacing.
