Wheel bolt grade

Does anyone know what grade bolts the factory used on the 1930-31 Durants.

Mine are 2" long 7/16" and 14 tread pitch 7/16X2-14

I found replacements from McMaster-Carr grade 5, I wasn't able to find a higher grade anywhere.

Re: Wheel bolt grade

Rick, Most of the bolts on a durant or star are the same as model T Ford, and readily available from ford catalogs. these bolts are identicle to OEM.

Re: Wheel bolt grade

Hi Curtis,

I ordered Model T wheel bolts but they are 3/8" and my 31 Durant has 7/16" bolts, the next size larger.
