I'm currently reconstructing the wood body on my 1928 Rugby/Star 4 door sedan. Right now I'm fitting the front door pillars. Quite a fiddle to put it mildly. Don Marsh's book is very helpful, although I needed to read it several times to fully understand large parts of it.
The process seems to require a lot of things being in the right place at once! This is quite nerve wracking and lots of checking is required. Thought I'd better measure the front windscreen to make sure it will fit. I was astonished to note that it is wider at the top than the bottom by about 3/4 of an inch.
My question to whoever is out there is "is the above correct?"
Thanks for the feedback Robin. I managed to find another 1928 Durant (Rugby) and measured it up. The top of the windscreen is indeed wider than the bottom. Doesn't look it, but it is 17 to 20mm wider.
