Had occasion to do a motor swap on my 27 Star and found that the front universal "assembly", which fits between the transmission and the clutch assembly made the job easy. by undoing the bolts in each section of the u joint, the center section can be dropped out. No need to remove the transmission to access the clutch or flywheel.
