On second thought, while we don't call them a levee here in this part of Canada... "they drove a Chevy to the levee". So that brings a trigger that Louis Chevrolet of early automobile racing fame teamed up with William Durant to form the Chevrolet Motor Car Company in Detroit, in 1911. That goes back a day or two. Chevrolet the manufacturer is still around but look at what the ravages of time and society have done to Detroit. And Durant motors from on or about 1921 - 1931, and the depression cooked that goose and many others.
