Re: 1928 Durant Radiator needed

Anyone need a 1928 radiator I have one. It holds water, but probably would need to be checked out. Believe it is off an M-2 or M4, but will not fit the 28 Model 65 or 75 for sure. Email me if anyone is interested.

Re: 1928 Durant Radiator needed

I acquired a 28 Durant radiator shell this weekend (took me a few days plus help of the hamb to figure out what it was)...If anyone can put it to use email me and I will get pictures. It is in pretty good shape, will need a rechrome, but overall pretty nice. I will never use it as I deal primarily with 30's fords.
Thanks,
Pat

Could be Star or Durant shell if the crest is missing. Also not all the same size based on model. Some with the bars on front and others no bars depending on model. Owners of 28 / 29 cars would need to compare their shells with yours. Note if you can the page up the forum indicating what model used what.

If you post a pic here I would be happy to tell you if it looks like my 28...
Also a few measurements. What did you want for it? I know another guy with a 28 in boxes.

It hasn't been cleaned up yet. Light rust in with the chrome.
Shoot me an offer if you can use it, or want more pictures . I don't know what they're worth,

That does look similar... If you tell me the dimensions I can tell you if it would fit the m2.

~29" tall from bottom to the very top
~20" wide where the radiator would bolt in.
Let me know what else you need.

Re: 1928 Durant Radiator needed

Be careful with what size is correct. Like the ad Norm sent there are several for the 1928 model year. I know my Model 65 radiator is about 2" longer than the regular M-! or M4 model. Found that out the hard way. I now have both and when you put them side by side, you can tell the big difference.

Re: 1928 Durant Radiator needed

My shell is also 29" by 20" and it looks like My Durant M2's Shell. Pretty much identical if you look at the above picture. So I am guessing this should fit all 1928 Durant M2's. I wouldn't mind having an extra but I Can't afford it at the moment.

I can see about the guy with the Durant in the box.
Gerald.
