Star Speedster?

Does anyone know who owns this Star Speedster?

Re: Star Speedster?

Not sure what if anything is 1924 Star. Its a home made item of bits and pieces. Wheels off ? lights off ? etc Neither W 4 or W5 have that bore. Lots of hits for it in search going back to mid 2000's.

Continental W-4, four-cylinder, L-head type, detachable head; bore, 3-1/8"; stroke, 4-1/4"; 130.4 cubic inches.
Continental W-5. 35 horsepower, four-cylinder, L-head engine. Bore, 3-3/8"; stroke, 4-1/4"; 152 cubic inches.

Lots of pics of it on

Calif plates 312-022

Pic 8 shows right side of engine .. don't know if there is anything there to give a clue what engine is.
Pic 6 shows were the hinges are covered over for touring / roadster doors. The steering wheel spider is a late 1920 Ford T one reversed. Ya can't hide a Ford T steering spider any year.

Can't see the rad crest but seems the 26 and later one Ah ha it does have later crest

Again and seems to be a model F on the firewall vin plate

Here's another in AACA forum with drum lights and boat tail.

Re: Star Speedster?

Rick, You can find his name in the 2012 or 2013 membership roster under the state of CA. I have emailed him about his car but can't find the email. It was a five (5) year project.

Rick, Here's some additional info on the 1924 Star speedster. Contact Marcy Freih at mfreih@yahoo.com. This info. is (2) years old and could be out of date. She was a very pleasant person to email back and forth.
