I have checked all my literature and the archives and cannot find any mention of the
tire sizes on 1926 Stars.
I am presently restoring this vehicle and will have to replace the tires.
The tires on the vehicle (being restored to a panel van) now are 450/475/500-20
The rim diameter is 21 inches.
What would be the correct replace tire?
Any recommended sources?
Ken just checked my books and manuals and found the following 1926 Stars had 2 sizes of wooden wheels 19" and 21" and used Fisk tires, my book on 1926 Star M characteristics say tires sizes 30x3.50 on open cars and 29x4.4 balloon tires on closed cars. 1926 Star R tire sizes 30x4.75 open cars and 29x4.4 on closed cars, hope this info is of help.
