I'm trying to diagnose a noise at the front of the engine on my 15L. I pulled the radiator to gain access to the timing chain cover. I also removed the access cover for the generator shaft nut. I noticed that the shaft has a lot of end-play. Does anyone know the spec dimension that the shaft should be able to move? I'm wondering if it's periodically moving and hitting the timing chain cover thus causing the noise. Thanks.
