Odd kinda question, my brake pedal on my '24 Roadster kinda stays wherever you put it- forward, backward, middle, etc. What kind of spring arrangement is stock or best for this pedal to remain in its proper location?

Thanks for the pic- you are correct, it isn't set up like my pedal. The essential question is- do you attach a spring to both sides of the rod?
