Its been a few months now since my dilema of a broken axle. So with the rear gaurd and body repaired I now have the car back on the road. I thought I'd say thanks to everyone for their input on where to get parts, etc. Thanks heaps.
Unfortunatly I lost all my rugby contact numbers from my phone when I backed up my wife phone onto mine(long story), So I also apologize to those I was to get back to but couldn't. Please feel free to sms your number again to me. Ph 0417231143.
I ended up getting 2 axles from VAPinc in the states, and sorce new rear bearings from AA bearings here in Melbourne. When I took the unbroken axle out I found that the thread on the end had been rewelded at some stage, so lucky I purchased 2 new ones.I now feel more confident when driving it.
Also while waiting for parts gave me time to finish sorcing the headlight parts I needed. So now the 29 has the orginal headlights back on it too.
So heres a picture I took yesterday when I took the Rugby back down to our local Club/ Powerhouse Museum.
An older restoration( 1976) but still looks good.
Thanks
Kevin

Great looking car and you were lucky with the axles. There are as rare as hens teeth. You should write an article for our Editor on how you found your car and what you've done to it along with pictures. We always love to hear what our club members are doing "down under".
