DMAC is now a recognized IRS 501(c)(3) organization

Just wanted to post and let everyone know that for our U.S. members the DMAC is now a recognized 501(c)(3) Non-profit organization with the United States Internal Revenue Service. This means that U.S. Members may now donate money, historic items, cars etc to the DMAC and depending on their personal income tax situation, may receive a tax deduction on their U.S. Federal Income Tax. Of course each member must check with their own tax preparer or accountant to see what extent of their donation is deductable. Guidelines are being constructed to provide instructions to those who wish to donate items and any vehicles but cash donations may be made at anytime. Watch for more on this over the next few months here and in the Durant Partner. This is a big step for the DMAC and hopefully towards the establishment of a Museum/Collection for future generations!
