2011 Vancouver Meeting and Tour

For those of you planning to attend 2011 September gathering in Vancouver you may want to consider spending a few extra days and enjoy the beautiful province of British Columbia. You may want to check out the following alternatives,
-visit Victoria, our provincial capital on Vancouver Island. Check out www.vancouverisland.com -A one day return trip (car or train) from Vancouver to Whistler, site of the 2010 ski, luge/bobsled events or a multi day train trip from Vancouver through the Canadian Rockies. Check out www.rockymountaineer.com.
Rent a car and drive through the scenic Okanagan Valley (www.okanagan.com) returning to Vancouver via Kamloops (where we live) and the Fraser Canyon to Vancouver, or carry on from the Okanagan and drive the Rockies. The trip from Banff to Jasper is awesome. Leave your rental car and fly out of Calgary or Edmonton as an option. A number of cruise lines sail out of Vancouver or Seattle. A 7 day Alaska cruise before or after or gathering is possible.

These are some possible options. We want your trip to Vancouver and British Columbia to be extra special.

And dont forget the great fishing in the area. Or Wells Grey Park with all the pretty waterfalls just north of Kamloops. Lots of nice scenic places to see here. Probably see a bear or two as well as deer elk and moose
