Hey fellows:
Take a look at item 220477115380 on Ebay. The picture of the dash instruments looks different than any 1928 that I have seen.
Any explanations?

That whole car has me stumped. I have worked on all the 28, & 29 Durant & Star cars even some flints and never seen that dash or that front door. The window opening is very wedge shaped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The radiator shell is 28 or 29 all the same except the shells on my 29 model 6-66 and the 6-70 that is longer and shutters.
The chrome cowl band and cowl lights are 28 Model 65 but that is not a model 65 hood , to many lovers. And the body is not a model 65 as they have dual belly bands. !!!!!!!!!!!
Notice how the hood does not fit. So it looks like a bunch of different models and possible different make body.
Strange for sure.

You will probably think that I may need a mental evaluation but that body looks exactly like the '30 Studebaker Dictator that we have been restoring...It has the same doors with two hinges and wedged shaped front door glass, also has a very similar instrament pannel, the body bands are identical, there are a couple small differences that may make this car a Commander rather than a Dictator...In the next chapter I will tell you about the Johny Chash coupe I will be working on this winter...
