Stripped Threads

Some of the sheet metal screws that hold the buttons on the top irons have come loose. The holes have gotten too big. I'd like to use the same screws rather than larger ones. Does anyone know of a way to fix this other than welding the hole shut and redrilling??

Re: Stripped Threads

Just a thought but I would maybe try two things --either get to the metal and tap the ridges with a body hammer to tighten up the holes -or second --try a bit of teflon tape on the screws-- this might just tighten them up enough to hold
someone will likely have a better solution but this is my 2 cents worth

You could try J.B. Welding the holes or an epoxy

Could you drill the striped holes out and use a Nutsert?
