75 MPH in a Durant !!

Hi All.....

Just to prove the advertising was correct for the 1929 Model 70 Durant... I had mine up to 75 mph across Interstate 80 on Tuesday....

It rolled along fine and kept up with the modern traffic. We sure did get some interesting reactions...

Oh it did have some help.....

rollback

Here is a trick I've been using to keep from blowing the fabric top off these old cars. Just get a cheap pick-up bed net from Harbor Freight etc, and some bungee cords. If the top is ripped up and it looks like rain just put a cheap plastic tarp on first. Haven't lost a top since and I've hauled some real nasty ones.

Re: 75 MPH in a Durant !!

I think that's cheating!
I had my '30 6-14 clocked at 61.5 mph at SIR raceways
one time...That was all she could do.
But I would'nt do it again!
