All,
Just back from a weeklong business trip. While there saw this. The National Auto Museum,10 S.Lake St. Reno Nv.89501-1558, (775) 333-9300. www.automuseum.org, Info@automuseum.org
It's in the center of Reno Nv. and is an excellent stop if you are in that area. This is the main portion of the old Harrah collection, and contains 200 cars(aprox 100 cars showing) with many fabulous Classics, autos, and memorabilia.
Unfortunately no Durant Motors cars, but one Locomobile an 1899 Steam one, seen as you enter the first "early" brass period area, after a "Blacksmith shop" with a an early car being fixed in it!
Truly some awesome cars in this collection, with the; 20's, 30's-40's, and 50's-60's galleries depicting "period" settings. They also have the actual Thomas Flyer that won the NewYork to Paris around the world race in 1907. Well worth a few hours visit!!
