You might want to look at "www.mcmastercarr.com" catalog page2897 or items #1344A21 and up. Latches come in black, chrome or stainless. I'll use them on my 1930/32 Durants.
Hi Jack: Did you ever get the hood latches from McMaster-Carr ? My concern is that their catalog doesn't indicate how far the latch assembly will stretch. In the latched position, the latch is stretched out to reach the catch on the side of the hood panel. I have 2 photos I could send to your email to better explain. Dave T
Dave .. got to remember nothing 28 / 29 fits 30 - 32. Jack has a 30 407 and 32 614 coup.
I seem to recall hood latches (also called clamps) in other catalogues. Spaenaur has some painted and chromed. One I see is 2 23/32 loose, hooking height 3 3/32 and extended height 3 19/32. This is black enameled and comes in pkgs of 10. Horton HotRod Parts claim to have hood latches also but I don't see them in their catalogue. Possibly Acklands - Grainger might have them or places like Crappy Tire (CTC) or TSC stores (tractors have hood latches also) I just can't recall where I saw them mentioned and I think this has been a Forum item before. Not sure about Princess Auto. Frank may have them like Mac's Auto does, being an A parts dealer.
