31 614 vs 31 DeVaux

David's question got me thinking. We all know that a lot of Durant technology was used to make the DeVaux. I know the 22A engine has the same gaskets as the DeVaux 40A engine except for the manafold. The brakes are also the same. The wheelbase for the DeVaux is 113" whereas the 31 614 is 112" This leads me to my question. Did the bodies for the 614 come from Hayes? The bodies for the DeVaux did. The design was by Ct. Alexis De Sakhnoffsky who was art director for Hayes. Actually, the base body (cowl back) was also used on the Marmon Roosevelt.
Thanks, Gary
