I have a Durant Motor that I want to get ready to sell. My Dad recently passed away & I really do not
know too much about it. I have the engine numbers...is there a way to find information out about it from those numbers? I need to located what kind of carbeurator & spark plugs go with this motor & what color was the engine painted. It is a flathead 4 cyclinder....firing order is 1342. Any info will be much appreciated.

There should be a identification plate on the left side of the engine just above the oil pan. If it is still on the engine the plate will have a model number on it.

On the brass plate it has two numbers #W5534207 and #W5A606B....it says "Durant Motors Continental Motors" #W5534207.
