Planet Rock Radio recently ran a 'Best AOR Song of All Time' poll and our boys landed in the top 20 with Frozen Heart. Considering the tune wasn't a major hit (but damn well should have been) that's not a bad result.
It is a remarkable feet considering the lack of comercial success. I still believe it is the yardstick of a good rock ballad and still think that if that song had had the backing it deserved FM would have been as big as the likes of Bon Jovi or Bryan Adams, but nevertheless well done guys
I'm sure Kerrang once named it the second best AOR ballad of all time, just behind Valentine's truly awesome "Never Said It Was Gonna Be Easy" in a feature back in the day when that mag catered to all rock audiences......
I remember hearing 'Frozen Heart' for the first time on the radio in 1985 and thinking who is that? I soon found out and bought my first FM album 'Indiscreet' on cassette!
