Hi. I am trying to find out how the fusing was carried out by the aircrew before Upkeep was dropped, I know that the bomb was fitted with a hydrostatic fuse and also a back up chemical fuse. And seeing that the bomb was spun up to 500rpm before she was dropped the fusing would have to be carried out prior. I can also understand that the hydro fuse would not need arming as 30 feet of water pressure was needed to explode the device, its the chemical fuse i would have thought needed to be armed ? I am to give a presantation talk on the Dams raid at my Military history society and I would like to get hold of the above data. Thanks. Jeff.
