Just looking through my fathers (James Ian MacBean)
RAF flying logbooks. On July the 21st 1941 he starting training (in a DH82A) William Clifford Townsend (there is a cutting placed in his logbook from a newspaper about the dambusters, and my father has written next to a photo of P/O W C Townsend 'Trained by me 1941')
