Does anyone know at which airfield ****** was buried and whether the grave is marked and still in existence?

Gibsons dog is buried at RAF Scampton, the grave is clearly marked and cared for, pictures can be seen at

Guy Gibsons dog was killed in a car accident and is buried out side the gate of the air field in a very well marked grave. His name was niger.

There is a small museum at Scampton, which is the only RAF station which allows the public to visit. You get a guided tour of the Station, a good look at the Red Arrow's Hawks, (which fly 4 times a day in the training (winter) season), so you should also see at least part of a display. Just Google 'Scampton Museum' and follow the instructions. ******'s grave is outside No 2 hanger, opposite Gibson's office, and is part of the tour. Its a great day out! (N.B., the asterixs are automatic. I had the temerity to type in the unfortunate dog's name!)
