I'm currently building a model of the Dambuster version of the Lancaster bomber, would anyone happen to know if the Guy Gibson's Lancaster AJ-G ED932 was a Mk1 or Mk3 Lancaster?
Also, from the information I can gather it appears that Mk1 Lancaster's had smooth tyres until about the end of 1943 where in 1944 the block treaded tyre was introduced for the Mk1's and Mk3's.
Do you have any information which confirm's this other than I know this was the case for S-Sugar though I'm trying to confirm this was also the case for the Dambuster Lancaster at the date of 16/17th May 1943?
