I suppose your questions have long since been answered, but one i do know is that the Dambusters film was directed by Michael Anderson. This info is from the programme from the "Repeat World Premier" of the film at the Empire Theatre Leicester Square, May the 17th 1955. My father was a 617 squadron member and was invited to the show.
