I have just come across some memoirs to a S/Ldr D.N. Wright. In them he mentions that he was a pilot on the raid and that he was the leader of the last three in the first nine aircraft. Sadly Mr Wright died in 2002. He also mentions that he was awarded a DSO for the raid. This was a bar as he already had received a DSO earlier in the war. I hope that someone can shed some light on his story.
