Hi All, This may be a long shot but if you don't try....
I am building our Family Tree with Emma my 11 year old Daughter, we are looking for any information on my Dad and her Grandad MAURICE "DABBER" KNOWLES born 1920, who served in WW2 with the Seaforth Highlanders, we believe he was in Germany in late 1944 in a rest camp?
We believe he was a Corporal
Other than that we don't know where he served or indeed how he enlisted with a Scottish Regiment as he was from Dronfield, Derbyshire. However there is a link with Glasgow as my Mum Emily Cuthbert Dingwall was born there in 1923 and served in the WRAF mainly in Thetford
If anyone has any information we would be very grateful to hear from you
