Making a silver carbon (graphite) alloy

Is it possible to melt silver and add graphite to it to make an alloy with about 10% carbon in it. We use an Alloy called Argelec 221 in an electrical sliding contact and it is very difficult and expensive (US$ 1100 /oz)to obtain.
If anyone has any experience of alloying silver and graphite please get back to me.
Thanks
Dave
